Auditions! - Sat 13th

WHAT: Summer Auditions.
WHEN: Saturday 13th February, 12:00.

The Summer production for 2010 is Christopher Hampton’s stage adaptation of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’ scandalous 18th century novel, Les Liaisons Dangereuses.

Directed by Stina Halmetoja, it’s all gossip, manipulation and seduction… But is it just sex or is there a moral to the story – or possibly even a feminist agenda?

We are looking for a number of talented actors and actresses. There are 9 speaking roles (6 females, 3 males) and 2-3 non-speaking roles on offer. The rehearsal period is from late February onwards and the performances will take place in Teatteri Puoli Q in mid-June.

Play Reading - Fri 19th

WHAT: Play Reading led by Fionna O’Sullivan.
WHEN: Friday 19th February, 19:00.
WHERE: FINNBRIT, Fredrikinkatu 20A, Helsinki.

The first play reading of the year will be led by Fionna O’Sullivan, and we’ll be reading two of Tom Stoppard’s short plays, “The Real Inspector Hound” and “After Magritte”.

“The Real Inspector Hound” is a take on the classic country house murder play, where the audience end up more involved than they probably expected to be.

“After Magritte” is, as the title suggests, a theatrical attempt to plausibly create the surrealist landscapes of the Belgian artist René Magritte.

Both plays are short, funny, and full of Stoppard’s trademark cheap jokes.

Play readings are not performances - everyone gets to participate! Bring refreshments and a friend.
