The spring production is the Stephen Sondheim/Richard Rodgers musical "Do I Hear A Waltz?" It is a charming, bittersweet story set in Venice about the holiday romance between Leona, a 30-something American, and Renato, a somewhat older Venetian shopkeeper. Around Leona and Renato revolve two American couples, the owner of the pensione and her maid, and a chorus. The
musical is about love and what it means, about the clash of cultures, and
about growth and change. It also features Sondheim's incisive lyrical wit,
and Rodgers' last great score - romantic but sprightly. There will be an
8-piece band and loads of great dancing, singing and acting. The musical is
directed by Adrian Goldman. Saturday 8th March at 7 p.m.
